this is another posting from my personal tumblr account and yes this truly happened to me while I was at the market, very interesting moment indeed.
earlier this evening I went to the market, I was searching through the aisles like any other normal person. When I was walking towards one section two men walked passed me and at the time thought absolutely nothing about it; then one of those two men came back and approached me. He said to me, “I just wanted to tell you that I think you’re very beautiful and sadly, most men are like my friend who was with me…it just seems like men of our generation like the ratchets”, yes it shocked me because that was so random and definitely unexpected. It was shocking because I was in the market wearing sweats, sneaks, had the messy bun and no make up. That actually turned out to be one of the most straight forward and memorable compliments I’ve ever received.
